Pacific Crest Trail, California, Section J

I hiked most of this 76 mile section from South to North (from Sonora Pass to Echo Summit on Highway 50) in 5 days along with my nephew, Steve. (I hiked the remainder to Echo Lake Resort by myself on another occasion.) The most noteworthy occurrence was my first encounter with hail on the last afternoon. There was enough to leave the ground covered for several hours.
